N800 Modding Fun!!
I recently was able to secure 2 spare faceplates for the N800 through Texrat on the InternetTabletTalk.com and decided I wanted to do some modding. I’ve always wanted a camo device (obviously) and so I quickly decided that one faceplate was going to go camo. The other I decided would look good in a flat black, to match the rest of the N800’s housing.
So a little bit of automotive grade spray primer and a few coats of spray paint and I’m rocking a fully jet-black N800 (albeit with silver buttons) and a CAMO N800!! The camo turned out decent for my first time. I only had one stencil, a cut-out of a random shape, and I just used portions of it here and there. It turned out ok, but I think I’d rather have more black to it. I can always add later.

Very nice work rc! I can’t wait to see more results once the other N800 owners get ahold of their faceplates.
Oh no, not more black. Black has been phased out of most camo because the human eye tends to detect moving fields of black faster than most other colors.
You wouldn’t want to be hiding and have that moving black field on your N800 give you away would you? ;-)
