New Internet Tablet Found On FCC

Granted, this isn’t S60 or Symbian news, but it’s Nokia, and that’s close enough. The long-awaited update to the N800 Internet Tablet has now shown its pretty face on the FCC’s website, and with a few goodies packed in for good measure. Daniel at the Tabletblog.com has bravely explored the depths of the paperwork filed, finding quite a few interesting tidbits.
The first is built-in GPS. Nice move, Nokia. The second discovery is a “slide-open” and “slide-closed” mention, hinting that this pic that Engadget found earlier this year might be true. Very cool. There is, however, no mention of WiMax, which Daniel points out could simply mean they haven’t tested that feature yet. Click through and let Daniel know what you think. I stand by my earlier statements that it needs an off-line blogging client first and foremost, as well as being to take advantage of the camera more. Oh, and Nokia, while you’re in there, beef up that cam and processor a bit, too. K thanks.
