Internet Radio on the N800 Internet Tablet
Internet Radio is easily the most used feature on my N800 Internet Tablet. I love having a portable stereo, and with Shoutcast, I have virtually unlimited music genre options. If you haven’t tinkered with your N800 Internet Tablet much yet, by going to “Home” from the main screen, you can select Applets (basically widgets) and see that there’s one for Internet Radio.
The default stations aren’t anything I’d listen to, so I finally figured out how to delete those and add my own, using Shoutcast as a directory. Rather than type it all out, I’ve put together this quick little video for you, so that you also can have a bevy of Internet Radio Stations at your beckon call. It’s REALLY easy, and makes pulling up a station literally a 3-click process, as opposed to however many it would take to pull up Shoutcast all the time.
The video is available after the break…….

My current favorite Internet radio site is http://beebotron.timeforabrew.com not only does it have the RA links for the live channels but also RA links for listen again from the last weeks favorite features.
I prefer StreamTuner application which is GTK application ported to N800. It includes full shoutcast/icecast etc. directories, bookmarks etc.
Combined with StreamTuner and Browser-based LastFM app N800 becomes ultimate streaming solutions for your all listening needs..
Native mediaplayer isn’t so attractive than it’s alternatives.
StreamTuner - I’ll have to check it out.
