Got A Tablet? Get The Companion!

When I first got the N810 from WOMWorld, I looked at all the blogs dedicated for the tablet, and found a couple, of which the Internet Tablet School blog . As the name implies, the blog is really a school, except the fact that there are no home assignments. I must admit that it was one of the most useful and user-friendly sites I came across for the tablet because I learned a lot from it. Neoncherry, the editor, takes time to record videos explaining every detail about each how-to that he’s tackling.

Yesterday, Neoncherry launched a new project: the Internet Tablet School Companion. The companion is a book which doesn’t contain tutorials, but is mostly geared towards explaining the tablet jargon to newbies in a comprehensive English language. This I believe is a must-have especially for newbies because the Linux vocabulary is a world by itself. The book also contains some insightful thoughts about the tablets and their real-world use.

The book is called The Internet Tablet School Companion, and it’s been designed to complement the Tablet School website by providing tablet-related reference material which beginners can understand. The idea of the book is that you can look at it while using the site’s tutorials or visiting other tablet sites. Most of the book is devoted to a Glossary section which lets you translate any weird tablet-related words you can’t understand into plain English. The book also has some features discussing the past and future of the tablets, and an article on why tablets are better devices than smartphones.

The book, which is a 94-page bin, and is available on Lulu for $12.41. You can take a look at some page previews before plunking down your bucks.
