Mauku Supports Jaiku And Twitter With V0.5.0
Mauku for the Internet Tablets has been updated recently, with several UI enhancements, as well as now including Twitter support. You get the same finger-friendly kinetic scrolling lifestream, but now you can sign into your Twitter account and get those updates mixed in, as well. Jaiku is marked with a green highlight, while Twitter updates show in blue, so you can visually check out what’s new.

The new version also allows you to double-click to open a thread, in addition to the touch-drag that was previously introduced. Flite support is also still there, so you can have the application read your updates out to you, and this version seems to be more stable, as well.
You can download Mauku below, and head on over to JaikuInvites.com if you need to get signed up for Jaiku.

already filed some bugs/enhancements on the twitter support…
first of it have found the updating of twitter hit or miss. i write one twitt, ok, then i can write 4 more that do not show up on screen at all until about the 4th or so…
then there is no way to click links in the twitts of other people.
Here is a copy of my answer in another forum for the same comment: If a tweet contains link, it should appear in the context menu. Just tap and hold for a while or use the left-down gesture. When you post a tweet, it is sent right a way. The thing is that Twitter does not update your feed on real time but every, say, 30 seconds. May be I should add some kind of feedback if the sending succeeded or failed.
